The company on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Tamil Nadu government in front of the Chairman of the Minister M.K. Stalin at the port of the first call of investor Tamil Nadu – Konklaf Investment.
The MoU describes the commitment made by both parties to stimulate the transition of clean energy and work in the state.According to Tata Power, investment in the factory will be carried out for 16 months and directly or indirectly will create more than 2,000 employment opportunities with the majority of them are female employees.
“The new production facility of Solar Power is being regulated with the support and assistance of the Tamil Nadu government. This will help meet the increasing demand for clean energy solutions in this country in addition to providing job opportunities,” said Praveer Sinha, CEO & MD, Tata Power.
The new factory in Tamil Nadu will integrate Bifacial Mono-PEC technology (emitter and retirement cells that are straightened) with type N type technology.For smooth equipment navigation, this facility will apply autonomous cellular robots (AMR), which use laser and cameras to transport spare parts.
Tamil Nadu Solar Facility will become the manufacturing unit of the two companies after Bengaluru. As one of the largest solar producers in India, companies operate world -class manufacturing units in Bengaluru, with a production capacity of 635 MW modules and 500 MW cells.
